Birthdays are Poopy................

Today I began an unusual birthday tradition. I picked up dog poop and took Tater to the vet. As I was cleaning the yard from various "piles O' Tater", he would follow behind me and sniff over each newly cleaned spot. He almost seemed proud the he'd left his scent or mark on the world. It made me think of how God must look down on us as we delight in our crap (cooking, blogging, scrapbooking). We are so proud of our little mark on the world, much like Tater Tot was of his. I knew that it was just dog crap, and really didn't warrant the joy Tater was giving it. Maybe God knows it's just human crap, but delights in our joy of our creation. Maybe through our pride of our creation, we can better understand his pride of us.And I promise I will never write about dog poop and God again.
